Mission
The program develops clinician-leaders committed to service, leadership, and scholarly inquiry. Graduates are prepared to integrate advanced medical knowledge with cultural humility, ethical integrity, and collaborative leadership to improve patient outcomes, strengthen communities, and advance sustainable healthcare practice.
Vision
The Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) program will be a national leader for healthcare in community, clinical, educational and international settings.
Program Learning Outcomes
We seek to advance the master’s-level PA in four areas:
- Medical knowledge: Integrate advanced medical knowledge to deliver specialized care that addresses community needs
- Leadership: Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and communication skills necessary to guide individuals, teams, and organizations
- Scholarship: Design a project with the potential to enhance patient outcomes and promote ethical, sustainable practice
- Service: Serve diverse populations with cultural humility, ethical integrity, and respect for human dignity
